mommy dreams

While you are pregnant you think of so many great things you will do once your little one gets here! My list was long and consisted of scrapbooking, cooking, cleaning, loosing tons of weight, and getting extreme with my coupons. All of the sudden Maddox was here and my quest to be supermom was suddenly a dream. I'm lucky if the dishes from dinner actually make it in the sink until the next morning or the newspaper even gets open to look for coupons. Honestly I don't think I would have it any other way yeah my scrapbook for Maddox isn't even started, it doesn't even exist, but I have so many bad ass pictures to put in it when it does become a reality! I have learned in the past 7 weeks to embrace the fact that I am not nor will ever be super mom, but I can only hope that I will have one happy kid! So far mommy hood has been the greatest thing ever, but nothing like I expected. :)

Finally some nice weather!

This past weekend was super overcast and not very enjoyable for any outdoor activities! We still had an awesome weekend as a family, I love it when Lucas is home. Saturday Maddox my cousin her dog and I went on a nice walk around the lake, it was a little windy but still super fun! Then we relaxed for the rest of the day we went to lunch (at mills market again) and grocery shopping. Sunday we all slept in and visited both sets of grandparents! Maddox was awake a lot which was awesome because he slept from 11 until almost 6 this morning! That made for one happy baby and one very happy mom. My car is still in the shop so we just hangout around the house and went for avery nice long walk! Now we are just waiting for dad to get home! I am loving this time change it feels so much earlier and were going to get some more night time outside time. Hopefully I get my car back tomorrow :):)

four weeks already?!

Okay so once again it has been FOREVER since I have posted and a lot has happened once again but starting today I am making a promise to myself to update at least twice a week if not more. I want something to look back on when Maddox is older to see what we were up to! On that note Maddox is here! Today he is four weeks old! Time is flying by and he is already growing so fast I want him to stop! Being a mommy is amazing, I never thought I would love it this much especially when they pee poop and puke on you so much, but there is nothing in the world like it. He is my world, it is amazing how you fall in love so quickly!

This week has been super relaxing! Monday Maddox and I went to lunch with my good friend Hannah. It was so good to see her and to catch-up with her. Plus we got to eat at Mills Market which is quickly becoming one of my favorite places to eat! Tuesday we ran some errands in the morning then dropped my car off at the shop to get fixed FINALLY! It got hit in like November and we just haven't had the time to be without an extra car until now! We also went to Tasty Tuesday to eat at the food trucks on Tuesday night with my parents, it was a great time! So since Maddox and I are car-less we have just been relaxing the last two days its kinda nice to not be able to go anywhere! Today Chelsea is coming over to hangout with us and hopefully we will get a nice walk in around the lake! So far we have been having an awesome week!I can see Maddox changing so much he is getting more hair, his eyelashes are getting darker and longer, and he is starting to grab onto everything he can get his fingers on! Can someone make time slow down?!? I cannot wait for the weekend, so that Lucas is home with us for two whole days!
